The Fenton Tigers competed in the final Metro League dual in Flushing on Wednesday. Flushing came out on top winning all of the close matches edging the Tigers 42-30. This was the first loss for the Tigers in the Stripes Division bringing Fenton's Stripes record to 4-1. In the final dual the Tigers beat Corunna 54-24. This win brought Fenton's all around Metro record to 8-3 heading into the Metro League Individual Tournament Saturday. Jamal Horne (113), Philip Lamka (165), Kyle Dunfield (175), Ben Triola (190), and Carson Krzeszak (285) all went 2-0 on the day.

Fenton improved to 4-0 in the stripes division and 7-2 overall in the Metro League. The Tigers faced off vs. Linden in the first dual taking 8 of the 14 matches and winning 47-33. Fenton got off to a 36-3 lead with wins from Philip Lamka, Kyle Dunfield, Evan Firby, Carson Krzeszak, Aiden Velzy, and Jamal Horne. Linden closed the gap winning by fall at 120 and 126. Garrett Clark sealed the deal at 132 winning by fall. Dylan Beverly then won 19-2 by technical fall in the final match. Ian Beverly won 10-2 in an exhibition match.
Fenton then took on Clio winning 12 of the 14 matches leaving the final score at 66-9. Capturing wins were Kyle Dunfield, Evan Firby, Carson Krzeszak, Aiden Velzy, Jamal Horne, Owen Freeman, Keagan Crandall, Ian Beverly, Garrett Clark, Chris Ladd, Dylan Beverly, and Philip Lamka. Fenton hosted Kearsley and Goodrich at home on Wednesday night in Metro League action. The Tigers remained perfect in the Stripes division defeating Kearsley 63-12. The Tigers battled hard in the night cap but Goodrich was too much defeating the TIgers 58-12. Going 2-0 on the night were Aiden Velzy (106), and Owen Freeman (120). Jamal Horne (113), Keagan Crandall (126), Ian Beverly (132), Dylan Beverly (157), Philip Lamka (165), Kyle Dunfield (165), Ben Triola (190), and Chris Dobek (215). The Tigers are 5-2 in the Metro and 3-0 in thier division. The Tigers are back in action Friday at Laingsburg and Saturday at the Rochester Adams.

Fenton took 13 kids to the Wyandotte Invite placing 3rd out of 19 teams. Leading the way was number one D2 ranked Philip Lamka who moved down to 157 pounds to face tough competition. Lamka won his 1st match by fall. In the semi final Lamka pinned D1 4th ranked Austin Martin of Belleville to set up a show down with number one ranked Sabastian Martinez of Gabriel Richard. Lamka won the match 17-12 bringing his record to 16-0 and capturing his 2nd straight championship in Wyandotte. Owen Freeman moved down to 120 pounds. Freeman won his first match 13-1 setting up a 2nd round match up vs. the one seed Kamal Abdulghagor who was 18-2 from Ypsilanti. Owen wrestled his best match of the year winning 8-6. Freeman then pinned Luc LaFleur from Saline in the semi final and then defeated Josef Oginsky of Skyline 3-1 in the championship. Carson Krzeszak came in as the one seed and finished 3-0 winning the heavy weight division. Krzeszak won by fall in his first match. In the semi final he won 2-0 and then 7-1 in the final vs. Ammar Alrobaie of Fordson. Ben Triola posted a 2-1 record placing 2nd bringing his record to 11-4. Aiden Velzy had a good day as well placing 3rd posting a 3-1 record. Garrett Clark, Dylan Beverly, Kyle Dunfield, all went 3-1 placing 3rd. Jamal Horne went 2-2 placing 4th. Keaton Sigmund placed 6th going 3-2 on the day. The Tigers pick back up on Wednesday at home vs. Kearsley and Goodrich.

Fenton continued their success winning twice at Owosso. In the first dual Fenton defeated Holly 48-30 and then Owosso 57-24. Aiden Velzy (106), Keaton Sigmund (113), Garrett Clark (138), Dylan Beverly (157), Philip Lamka (165), Kyle Dunfield (175), Ben Triola, and Carson Krzeszak (285) all went 2-0 on the day. Jamal Horne (120), Chris Ladd (144), and Chris Dobek (215) all posted one win. The Tigers are now 4-1 in the metro legaue and head to Wyandotte Saturday.

Tigers Lose: -
The Tigers had a very strong performance Saturday at the Joe Loren Invitational in Chippewa Hills finishing 3rd out of twenty three. Leading the Tigers taking first with a 3-0 record was Philip Lamka (165). Lamka ranked 1st at 157 pounds in D2 defeated Kyan Fessenden from Kingsley 6-4 in the final. Dylan Beverly finished 2nd posting a 4-1 record. Ben Triola (190) also placed 2nd with a 2-1 record. Owen Freeman (126), Garrett Clark (132), Kyle Dunfield (165), Carson Krzesak (285) all finished 3rd with 3-1 records. Jamal Horne placed 5th posting a 3-1 record. Chris Dobek placed 8th at 215 pounds. The Tigers are back in action on January 4th at Owosso.

Fenton won both duals Wednesday bringing thier season record to 3-4 and 2-1 in the metro league. In the opener Fenton defeated Swartz Creek 54-21 and then finished it off defeating Brandon 60-21. Aiden Velzy (106), Jamal Horne (113), Owen Freeman (132), Kyle Dunfield (165), Philip Lamka (175), and Ben Triola (190) all went 2-0. Keaton Sigmund (106), Dylan Beverly (157), Gabe Mulanix (165), and Carson Krzeszak (285) all had 1 win. Gabe Mulanix (165) and Ian Beverly (126) both had JV wins. Fenton travels to Chippewa Hills Saturday for the Joe Lauren Invite.

Fenton traveled to Romeo on December 10th where they faced three highly ranked opponents. Fenton began the day vs. Dearborn Crestwood winning 56-12. In the 2nd round division 1, 5th ranked Romeo defeated the Tigers 64-15. Fenton then took on Division 1, 1st ranked Detroit Catholic Central falling 55-18. In the final round 8th ranked Imlay City defeated the Tigers 43-38.
Going 4-0 on the day were Philip Lamka (165) and Jamal Horne (113). Carson Krzeszak (285), and Kyle Dunfield (175) were 3-1. AIden Velzy (106) and Ben Triola both had 2 wins.
