The Fenton Girls Varsity Basketball team defeated Stripes Division leader Kearsley Friday night in a 53-48 overtime win. Sophomore Kaleigh Shaker made a free throw with just under four seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime. Korryn Smith went 4 for 4 from the free throw line in overtime and finished the game with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals. Samantha Whaling scored 14 points and Shaker finished the night with 9 points. Kyla Lynch had 7 points and 9 rebounds and Adrie Staib had 7 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Lauren Bossenberger and Mallory Lehmann each had 6 rebounds. The Tigers will travel to Linden Friday, February 21st for their next to last regular season game.
