The Heat travelled to Grand Ledge to face the Comets, on Monday night for Girls Varsity Lacrosse. You would have thought the teams were old rivals with the scrappy play and number of fouls committed, but it was the first ever meeting. Grand Ledge had 2 Yellow Cards in the first half and another 2 in the second. The Heat also “earned” one Yellow Card in the second half and they struggled to find good scoring opportunities against a very disciplined Comets’ defense. The managed one goal in the first half to Comets’ 6 goals. The second half, the Heat improved with 3 goals and held GL to 4 goals. The final was 4-10 and gave the Heat their first loss of the season.

Sophomore Goalkeeper, Rylee Morse played her first ever game and did fine job, making 5 saves.

Lara Kemp scored 2 goals, Jordyn Bliss and Kaitlyn Mossett each scored a goal.

The Heat look to turn things around on Friday at 5:00 PM, when they will host Flushing in Metro League action.
