Ben Chapple scored first for the Tigers 19 minutes into the game off a Andrew Hutchins free kick. Linden's Ryan Gillespie answered with a header off a corner kick 3 minutes later. After 2 overtimes, the game went to a shootout where Alex Flannery, Calvin Curtis, Andrew Hutchins, RJ Stack, and Jimmy Myers converted on their kicks while Gannon Welch made 2 key saves to seal the victory. Fenton wins their third district championship in four years. The Tigers now play Madison Heights Lamphere in the Regional Semifinals at Fenton on Tuesday at 5 pm.
