Fenton Freshmen Tigers took the lead late in the game in a 7-6 victory over Bloomfield Hills High School Blackhawks JV Black on Monday. They trailed 5-4 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Logan Carpenter singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring 2 runs.
Evan Hoglin started the game for Fenton, going one inning and allowing one hit and two runs while striking out two. Vincent Loria was credited with the victory for the Tigers, allowing one hit and zero runs over two-thirds of an inning. Carpenter got the save, while eight Tigers in total took the hill in the game.
All 13 available players contributed in the win, and Hoglin (3), Jake Murphy, Connor McDermott, Loria, and Carpenter all collected hits in the contest.
