Fenton Varsity Tigers Lose Tough Game Against Brother Rice Varsity Warriors

Fenton Varsity Tigers had trouble keeping up with Brother Rice Varsity Warriors in a 9-2 loss on Saturday.

Brother Rice Varsity Warriors got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Owen Turner doubled, Broder Katke was struck by a pitch, and Tristan Crane hit into a double play, each scoring one run.

Tyler Fox homered to right field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth for the Brother Rice Varsity Warriors.

Wyatt Ruppenthal earned the win for Brother Rice Varsity Warriors. They surrendered three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Noah Dotson took the loss for Fenton Varsity Tigers. The starting pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, surrendering three runs on three hits, striking out none and walking none. 

Spencer Luck led Fenton Varsity Tigers with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Luck, Ty Trosen, Brenda Phillips, Jake Murphy, and Dotson each collected one hit. Fenton Varsity Tigers turned one double play in the game.

Brother Rice Varsity Warriors tallied 10 hits in the game. Fox seize on their opportunities, leading Brother Rice Varsity Warriors with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. Turner led Brother Rice Varsity Warriors with three hits in three at bats. Brother Rice Varsity Warriors were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
