Two Pitchers Team Up as Fenton Varsity Tigers Shuts Out Holly

Fenton Varsity Tigers defeated Holly 8-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jaden Burnau induced a fly out from Melton to finish off the game.

Fenton Varsity Tigers got things started in the first inning.  Ty Trosen doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Fenton Varsity Tigers put up four runs in the second inning.  Fenton Varsity Tigers offense in the inning was led by Brendan Phillips and Trosen, who each had RBIs in the inning.

One bright spot for Holly was a single by Labadie in the sixth inning.

Kyle Crow was the winning pitcher for Fenton Varsity Tigers. The hurler surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two innings, striking out three and walking one.  Burnau threw five innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Clark took the loss for Holly. The hurler went four innings, allowing five runs on six hits and striking out two.

Fenton Varsity Tigers tallied ten hits on the day.  Trosen, Leo Thompson, and Phillips each racked up multiple hits for Fenton Varsity Tigers.
