Fenton Varsity Tigers Drops Game to Lake Fenton Varsity Blue Devils After Late Score

Saturday's game against Lake Fenton Varsity Blue Devils was a heartbreaker for Fenton Varsity Tigers, as they lost the lead late in an 8-5 defeat.  The game was tied at five with Lake Fenton Varsity Blue Devils batting in the top of the seventh when Noah Dotson induced Benji Kramer to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Fenton Varsity Tigers lost despite out-hitting Lake Fenton Varsity Blue Devils eight to five.

Fenton Varsity Tigers captured the lead in the second inning.  Fenton Varsity Tigers scored two runs when Kyle Crow singled.

Lake Fenton Varsity Blue Devils knotted the game up at five in the top of the sixth inning.  Clay Cook grounded out, scoring one run.

Cook led the Lake Fenton Varsity Blue Devils to victory on the pitcher's mound. Cook allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out two.

Dotson took the loss for Fenton Varsity Tigers. The bulldog lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero hits and three runs while striking out two.

Zack Melynchek started the game for Lake Fenton Varsity Blue Devils. The righthander lasted five innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out three. Spencer Luck started the game for Fenton Varsity Tigers. Luck lasted three innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out four and walking one.

Fenton Varsity Tigers saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game.  Crow, Nolan Alvord, and Leo Thompson each had multiple hits for Fenton Varsity Tigers.

Camden Fray went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Lake Fenton Varsity Blue Devils in hits.
