Fenton Varsity Tigers Claims Blow Out Win Over Flushing Raiders Varsity Thanks to Fifth Inning Boost

A six-run fifth inning led Fenton Varsity Tigers to an 11-1 victory on Wednesday.  The rally was led by walks by Nolan Alvord and Brendan Phillips, singles by Leo Thompson and Gage Graham, and an error on a ball put in play by Kyle Crow.

Fenton Varsity Tigers notched six runs in the fifth inning.  Thompson, Alvord, Phillips, Crow, and Graham all drove in runs in the frame.

Alvord was credited with the victory for Fenton Varsity Tigers. The bulldog lasted five innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out eight and walking zero.

JJ Kenney took the loss for Flushing Raiders Varsity. Kenney surrendered four runs on three hits over two and a third innings, striking out three.

Fenton Varsity Tigers racked up 11 hits in the game.  Ty Trosen, Noah Dotson, and Phillips all had multiple hits for Fenton Varsity Tigers.  Phillips, Dotson, and Trosen each collected two hits to lead Fenton Varsity Tigers.
