Fenton Varsity Tigers Nabs Win Over Linden Eagles Varsity Despite Early 3-Run Inning

Fenton Varsity Tigers managed through a push by Linden Eagles Varsity in the third inning where Fenton Varsity Tigers coughed up three runs, but Fenton Varsity Tigers still won 11-5 on Wednesday.  The offensive firepower by Linden Eagles Varsity was led by Michael Bush and Carson Conn, both sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Fenton Varsity Tigers secured the victory thanks to six runs in the second inning.  Fenton Varsity Tigers batters contributing to the big inning included Nolan Alvord, Brendan Phillips, Noah Dotson, Ty Trosen, and Gage Graham, all driving in runs in the inning.

Fenton Varsity Tigers got on the board in the first inning when Kyle Crow singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Alvord took the win for Fenton Varsity Tigers. The pitcher allowed eight hits and five runs over six and a third innings, striking out four.  Leo Thompson threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Merrik Ball took the loss for Linden Eagles Varsity. The southpaw lasted two innings, allowing four hits and eight runs while striking out one.

Crow went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Fenton Varsity Tigers in hits.

Linden Eagles Varsity scattered eight hits in the game.  Bush and Luke Haney each racked up multiple hits for Linden Eagles Varsity.  Bush led Linden Eagles Varsity with three hits in three at bats.
