Fenton Varsity Tigers Grabs Lead in Sixth Inning for Victory Over Kearsley Varsity Hornets

Fenton Varsity Tigers stole the lead late in the game in a 7-1 victory over Kearsley Varsity Hornets on Wednesday.  The game was tied at one with Fenton Varsity Tigers batting in the top of the sixth when Leo Thompson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.

Fenton Varsity Tigers secured the victory thanks to six runs in the sixth inning.  Fenton Varsity Tigers's big inning was driven by singles by Thompson and Adam Barcome,  by Kyle Crow, and a fielder's choice by Ty Trosen.

Kearsley Varsity Hornets got things started in the first inning when Caden Saxton grounded out, scoring one run.

Crow was the winning pitcher for Fenton Varsity Tigers. The ace surrendered one run on three hits over six innings, striking out ten and walking one.  Barcome threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Dylan Ruhstorfer took the loss for Kearsley Varsity Hornets. Ruhstorfer lasted four innings, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out four and walking one.

Gage Graham led Fenton Varsity Tigers with two hits in four at bats.  Fenton Varsity Tigers didn't commit a single error in the field. B
