Alvord Throws Shutout as Fenton Varsity Tigers Defeats Swartz Creek Dragons Varsity

Nolan Alvord threw a shutout to lead Fenton Varsity Tigers past Swartz Creek Dragons Varsity 15-0 on Wednesday.

In the first inning, Fenton Varsity Tigers got their offense started when Spencer Luck doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Fenton Varsity Tigers put up seven runs in the third inning.  Alvord, Brendan Phillips, Kyle Crow, Noah Dotson, and Luck powered the big inning with RBIs.

Alvord earned the victory on the hill for Fenton Varsity Tigers. Alvord went four innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out three and walking one.

Brett Hoffman took the loss for Swartz Creek Dragons Varsity. The righthander lasted two and a third innings, allowing seven hits and eight runs while striking out three.

Fenton Varsity Tigers launched one home run on the day. Phillips had a homer in the second inning.

Fenton Varsity Tigers racked up 11 hits in the game.  Crow, Dotson, and Phillips all had multiple hits for Fenton Varsity Tigers.  Crow went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Fenton Varsity Tigers in hits.  Fenton Varsity Tigers didn't commit a single error in the field.
