Fenton Varsity Tigers Drops Game to Clarkston Varsity Wolves After Late Score

Saturday's game against Clarkston Varsity Wolves was a heartbreaker for Fenton Varsity Tigers, as they lost the lead late in a 13-9 defeat.  The game was tied at nine with Clarkston Varsity Wolves batting in the top of the ninth when Carson White doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring three runs.

Fenton Varsity Tigers collected nine hits and Clarkston Varsity Wolves had 11 in the high-scoring affair.

Clarkston Varsity Wolves got on the board in the second inning when Jack Mayhew drew a walk, scoring one run.

Fenton Varsity Tigers tallied four runs in the sixth inning.  The big inning was thanks to singles by Zach Brown and Kyle Crow and a groundout by Brendan Phillips.

White was credited with the victory for Clarkston Varsity Wolves. The righthander allowed one hit and one run over two innings, striking out two and walking one.  

Leo Thompson toed the rubber for Fenton Varsity Tigers. The bulldog lasted three innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out seven.  Jake Coleman and Adam Barcome entered the game from the bullpen, throwing four innings and two innings respectively.

Lucas DeBell started the game for Clarkston Varsity Wolves. The pitcher went three innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out seven and walking one

Fenton Varsity Tigers had nine hits in the game.  Nolan Alvord and Crow each racked up multiple hits for Fenton Varsity Tigers.  Alvord led Fenton Varsity Tigers with three hits in four at bats.
