Late Score Costs Fenton Tigers Varsity Against Bay City Western HS

Fenton Tigers Varsity lost the lead late in an 11-4 defeat to Bay City Western HS on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with Bay City Western HS batting in the top of the fifth when Shooltz drew a walk, scoring one run.

The Fenton Tigers Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Bay City Western HS, giving up 11 runs.

Fenton Tigers Varsity evened things up at one in the bottom of the third inning when Connor Luck singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Fenton Tigers Varsity notched three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by Fenton Tigers Varsity was led by Leo Thompson and Brady Tallman, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Nolan Alvord took the loss for Fenton Tigers Varsity. The bulldog went four and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on four hits, striking out two and walking one.

Alvord went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Fenton Tigers Varsity in hits.

Yurgaites led Bay City Western HS with three hits in three at bats.
