Fenton Tigers Varsity Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Fenton Tigers Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 6-2 loss to Saline on Saturday. Saline scored on a double by Sydlowski in the first inning, a double by LaRusso in the second inning, and a error in the second inning.

Saline fired up the offense in the first inning, when Sydlowski doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Saline scored three runs in the fifth inning. Saline's big inning was driven by a sac fly by Notar, an error on a ball put in play by Laurio, and a double by Masters.

Muir led the Saline to victory on the pitcher's mound. Muir surrendered one run on three hits over four and a third innings, striking out five. Jane and Ballnt entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Lance Barkholz took the loss for Fenton Tigers Varsity. Barkholz surrendered six runs on seven hits over four innings, striking out three.

Peyton Jackson, Eli Henderson, Brendan Phillips, and Barkholz all had one hit to lead Fenton Tigers Varsity.

Saline totaled nine hits. Scott Tousa and Sydlowski each racked up multiple hits for Saline.
