Fenton Tigers Varsity Takes Victory Over Lake Fenton In Pitcher's Duel

Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound Thursday, but Fenton Tigers Varsity defeated Lake Fenton 3-2. Fenton Tigers Varsity pitchers allowed just five hits to Lake Fenton.

Fenton Tigers Varsity grabbed an early lead when they scored on a groundout by Lance Barkholz in the first inning and a triple by Nolan Alvord in the second inning.

In the bottom of the first inning, Lake Fenton tied things up at one. Stevenson drew a walk, scoring one run.

Fenton Tigers Varsity pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Alvord tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Spencer Luck got the win for Fenton Tigers Varsity. The hurler surrendered one run on two hits over four innings. Peyton Jackson threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Jackson recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Fenton Tigers Varsity.

Wright took the loss for Lake Fenton. The hurler allowed five hits and three runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Luck, Brendan Phillips, Quinn Hartley, Connor Luck, and Alvord each collected one hit to lead Fenton Tigers Varsity.
