TWO PITCHERS COMBINE IN NO-HITTER AS FENTON TIGERS VARSITY TAKES VICTORY OVER SWARTZ CREEK
 

Fenton Tigers Varsity's two pitchers didn't allow a single hit, as they defeated Swartz Creek 17-0 on Thursday. Brooks Funke induced a fly out from Shultz to get the last out of the game.

Fenton Tigers Varsity secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the first inning.  Kyle Crow, Owen McCune, Nolan Alvord, Lance Barkholz, Connor Luck, and  Brendan Phillips each had RBIs in the frame.

Barkholz was the winning pitcher for Fenton Tigers Varsity. The bulldog went two and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out two and walking one.  Funke threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

McGhee-Britt took the loss for Swartz Creek. The pitcher allowed six runs on two hits.

Fenton Tigers Varsity launched one home run on the day. McCune went yard for a grand slam in the first inning.

Fenton Tigers Varsity racked up 12 hits.  Barkholz, Alvord, and McCune all had two hits to lead Fenton Tigers Varsity.
