Fenton Tigers Varsity Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Fenton Tigers Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-3 loss to Bloomfield Hills on Tuesday. Bloomfield Hills took the lead on a double in the first inning.

The Fenton Tigers Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Bloomfield Hills, giving up 11 runs.

In the first inning, Bloomfield Hills got their offense started when Friesen doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Bloomfield Hills scored four runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower by Bloomfield Hills was led by Brandon Newland, Benson, and Oddo, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Newland took the win for Bloomfield Hills. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out eight. Martin threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Adam Barcome took the loss for Fenton Tigers Varsity. The bulldog allowed four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out three.

Fenton Tigers Varsity racked up seven hits. Nolan Alvord and Connor Luck each managed multiple hits for Fenton Tigers Varsity. Alvord led Fenton Tigers Varsity with three hits in three at bats.
