Fenton Tigers Varsity Claims Victory Over Swartz Creek In Blow-Out Fashion, 11-2

Fenton Tigers Varsity asserted their will over Swartz Creek on their way to an easy 11-2 victory

Swartz Creek fired up the offense in the first inning, when Austin singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Fenton Tigers Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Fenton Tigers Varsity scored on a stolen base during Lance Barkholz's at bat. Then Barkholz doubled , driving in one and Connor Luck singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Fenton Tigers Varsity scored four runs in the fifth inning. Fenton Tigers Varsity's big bats in the inning were led by singles by Nolan Alvord and Brendan Alvord and a sac fly by Barkholz.

Nolan Alvord earned the victory on the hill for Fenton Tigers Varsity. The ace allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out four and walking one. Peyton Jackson, Gavin Diamond, and Spencer Luck all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Kozma took the loss for Swartz Creek. The bulldog went three and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out two.

Fenton Tigers Varsity totaled ten hits. Brendan Alvord, Barkholz, and Nolan Alvord all managed multiple hits for Fenton Tigers Varsity. Fenton Tigers Varsity stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Seth Logan led the way with four.
