Brendan Throws Shutout As Fenton Tigers Varsity Defeats Linden

Brendan Alvord threw a gem on Thursday for Fenton Tigers Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Linden by a score of 10-0

Fenton Tigers Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Alvord singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Fenton Tigers Varsity tallied five runs in the second inning.The big bats were led by Eddie Briand, Kyle Crow, and Jake Durant, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

One bright spot for Linden was a single by Alflen in the second inning.

Alvord earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Fenton Tigers Varsity. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out nine and walking zero.

Wilderman took the loss for Linden. The hurler lasted one and one-third innings, allowing six hits and seven runs.

Fenton Tigers Varsity had ten hits in the game. Connor Luck, Durant, Crow, and Lance Barkholz each collected multiple hits for Fenton Tigers Varsity. Barkholz, Crow, Durant, and Luck all had two hits to lead Fenton Tigers Varsity. Fenton Tigers Varsity tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Barkholz led the way with four.
