Two Pitchers Team Up As Fenton Tigers Varsity Defeats Owosso In Shut-Out

Fenton Tigers Varsity defeated Owosso 12-0 in game 2 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. 

In the first inning, Fenton Tigers Varsity got their offense started. Brendan Alvord singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Fenton Tigers Varsity tallied four runs in the fourth inning. Fenton Tigers Varsity offense in the inning was led by Jaxon Pearson, Brett Jackman, Nolan Alvord, and Diamond, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Nolan Alvord was the winning pitcher for Fenton Tigers Varsity. He allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three. Diamond threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Welz took the loss for Owosso. Welz surrendered five runs on five hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Fenton Tigers Varsity hit one home run on the day. Brendan Alvord had a long ball in the third inning.

Fenton Tigers Varsity racked up 12 hits on the day. Eddie Briand, Brendan Alvord, and Jackman all had multiple hits for Fenton Tigers Varsity. Briand led the team with three hits in four at bats.
