Two Pitchers Work Together As Fenton Tigers Varsity Defeats Owosso In Shut-Out

Fenton Tigers Varsity defeated Owosso 3-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. The pitching was strong on both sides. Fenton Tigers Varsity pitchers struck out 16, while Owosso pitchers sat down eight.

In the first inning, Fenton Tigers Varsity got their offense started when Eddie Briand grounded out, scoring one run.

Briand earned the victory on the hill for Fenton Tigers Varsity. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out 12. Jackman threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen recording the last six outs to earn the save.

Leland took the loss for Owosso. Leland surrendered one run on two hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking one.

Connor Luck went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Fenton Tigers Varsity in hits. Fenton Tigers Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
