Fenton Tigers Varsity Blows Out Holly

Fenton Varsity Tigers had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Holly 16-4

Fenton Varsity Tigers got things moving in the first inning, when Ty Trosen singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Holly knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning.  Holly scored one run when Jacobson singled.

Fenton Varsity Tigers pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning.  In the second Spencer Luck singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Fenton Varsity Tigers, an error scored one run for Fenton Varsity Tigers, and Noah Dotson homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.

Nolan Alvord earned the win for Fenton Varsity Tigers. The hurler surrendered two runs on two hits over three and a third innings, striking out four.  Gage Graham threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Melton took the loss for Holly. The hurler lasted three innings, allowing nine hits and nine runs while striking out three and walking zero.

Fenton Varsity Tigers hit one home run on the day. Dotson had a dinger in the second inning.

Fenton Varsity Tigers had 14 hits in the game.  Luck, Leo Thompson, Dotson, Brendan Phillips, and Graham all collected multiple hits for Fenton Varsity Tigers.  Fenton Varsity Tigers stole four bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Jack Coleman led the way with two.
