On Wednesday night, The Heat hosted Grand Blanc Bobcats in Girls Varsity Lacrosse. The Heat scored the game’s first goal in the second minute and Bobcats evened it a minute later. Winning the next 4 draws and scoring on all 4, gave the Heat an advantage that wouldn’t be overcome. GB would score a goal and they were answered by two and four goals for a Halftime score of 11-4. Grand Blanc made adjustments in the Draw Circle and won most of the second half draws but the Heat would cause a turnover or Brown would make save. After 10 minutes, the Heat had the Bobcats in a Running Clock (10 or more goal advantage). Grand Blanc battled in and out of running time for the remainder of the game. Final Score was Fenton-Linden Heat 19 and Grand Blanc Bobcats 10.

Goalie, Allison Brown was steady in goal and saved half of the 20 shots she faced, 10/20 (.500)

Scoring was again led by Fenton Senior, Lara Kemp with 10 goals; Kaitlyn Mossett had 5 goals; Korryn Smith, 2 G/2 A; Emilee Guertin, 1 G/2 A; Hannah Ludwig, 1 G/1 A

Mossett led the team with 4 of the team’s 15 won Draws and Kyla Lynch forced 2 Turnovers.

The Heat are 2-0 on the new season.
