Fenton Tigers Varsity Fall Short To Bay City Western HS, 5-1

Fenton Tigers Varsity got things started in the first inning when Lance Barkholz doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Bay City Western HS knotted the game up at one in the top of the third inning. Shooltz singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Bay City Western HS pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Yurgaites grounded out, scoring one run, Horning singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, and Robinson singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Lacourse got the win for Bay City Western HS. The hurler lasted six innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out three and walking zero. Decaire threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Kyle Crow took the loss for Fenton Tigers Varsity. The bulldog lasted six innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out five.

Crow, Colin Lawrence, Nolan Alvord, and Barkholz each collected one hit to lead Fenton Tigers Varsity.

Dubay led Bay City Western HS with two hits in three at bats.
